BRENDAN COUSINEAU, MPT, CSCS joined the Contact Physical Therapy Team in 2006 to help initiate operation of our Scottsdale Clinic as the Clinic Director and Co-Owner. He received his Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from the Mayo School of Health Related Sciences in Rochester, MN in 1994 where he was Class President.  Brendan started his PT career immediately after graduation at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ until joining Contact PT.  He earned the title of Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist in 1998 from the National Strength & Conditioning Association.  He graduated with honors from Arizona State University in 1991 receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology and was a member of the Pre-Med Honor Society. 
Pam Zukowski, PTA graduated in 1993 from the Minnesota College of St. Catherine’s, St. Mary’s Campus with an AAS in Physical Therapy. She moved to AZ in 1993 where she has been working every since.  During her 15 years of practice she has specialized in aquatics, wound care and orthopedics. Places that have given her some great experience are Scottsdale Healthcare, St. Luke’s Medical Center, HealthSouth Rehab hospital and Affiliated Orthopedic Specialists with Dr. Culley K. Christensen. Pam has also been known to contract with several skilled nursing facilities and outpatient clinics around the valley.

KAREN THOMAS, OTR/L, CHT has dedicated her career to hand therapy for the past 20 YEARS.  She has experience in evaluating and treating patients with a wide range of Upper Extremity diagnoses from fractures, tendon lacerations/repairs, amputations, nerve injury/lacerations, Tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel/ulnar neuropathy, Arthritis (OA and rheumatoid), Rotator cuff injury/repair, Joint replacements, CRPS, to overuse syndrome.  She is able to fabricate custom made static and dynamic splints for the upper extremity. If needed, work site evaluations can be performed. All patients are educated on diagnosis, precautions, ergonomics, risk factors, joint protection techniques, work simplification and home exercise program.   Hand Therapy


Brendan was raised in Tempe, AZ and has lived in the valley for over 30 years.  He has practiced Outpatient Physical Therapy for the past 15 years working closely with the athletes, athletic trainers, and team physicians for Mesa Community College as well as the local high schools of McClintock, Tempe and Marcos De Niza.  Specializing in Orthopedic/Sports Medicine, Brendan utilizes manual therapy techniques with emphasis on manual traction to the spine and extremities and joint/soft tissue mobilizations along with progressive therapeutic exercise and appropriate modalities to strive for each client’s individual goals.  He has completed advanced training in both vestibular (balance) training and golf performance.  He has been interviewed on both Channel 3 and Channel 12 news and has been featured in the Arizona Republic and Tribune newspapers.  In addition to practicing therapy, he has been a clinical instructor for over a decade educating physical therapy graduate students.  His hobbies include spending time with his 2 boys and girlfriend as well as coaching youth sports, playing softball/golf and weight training.
